The Best Greek Salad
One of the best known and the tastiest additions to the Greek Cuisine. Best served in summer – prepared with juicy tomatoes, fresh cucumbers and aromatic feta cheese with the addition of olive oil and spices, Greek salad – which the Greeks themselves simply call Horiatiki or a country salad – simply cannot be missed. In summer, it’s present on tables in every home and in every tavern – prepared just from few ingredients popular ingredients it’s a perfect addition to grilled dishes, served as an appetizer, or just eaten on it’s own!
- 1 large greenhouse cucumber
- 2 large tomatoes or 2 handfuls of cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion
- 250g olives – black
- 200g feta cheese
- 5 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of black ground pepper
- Prymat Greek Sauce 9g
Cut the cucumber into half slices. Dice the tomatoes (if you use cocktail ones, then into halves). Peel onions and cut into thicker slices, then separate into rings. Cut the feta cheese into cubes.
Mix vegetables in a bowl, add olives, and sprinkle with cubes of feta cheese on top. You can also put a thick slice of feta cheese on the top instead.
Mix olive, oregano, pepper and salad dressing in a small bowl. Pour on the top of vegetables.
