Kopernik is the oldest confectionery factory in Poland and Europe, producing gingerbread and wafers. The "Kopernik" Confectionery Factory was founded in Toruń in 1751 by Gustav T. Weese. During the war, the German owner sold the company to the Polish Społem Cooperative for political reasons. After the war, the Kopernik factory operated as a state-owned company. In the Third Polish Republic, the Kopernik company was privatized and turned into an employee-owned company.
Kopernik produces confectionery products based on secret recipes where the ingredients are carefully selected. The recipes are based on centuries of tradition and knowledge of generations of Gingerbread Masters. Baked for over 250 years, gingerbread has an amazing taste.
