Do you like halva? If so, we have a recipe for a delicious halva cake with Wedel halva
Ingredients:
Wedel dark chocolate – 3/4 of a bar
Butter – 1/2 stick
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Eggs – 2 pcs.
Flour – 1 and 1/4 cups
Baking powder – 1 flat teaspoon
Baking soda – 1 flat teaspoon
Salt – a pinch
Sour cream – 2/3 cup
Chopped walnuts – 1 cup
Halva Wedel – 170g
Cane sugar – 3 tablespoons
Method of execution
1. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and brown lightly. Cool and combine with walnuts. Divide the mass into two parts and add cane sugar to one.
2. Break the chocolate into small pieces and cut the halva into large cubes.
3. Cream the remaining butter with sugar and a pinch of salt using a food processor until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Add the flour combined with baking powder and soda, sifted through a sieve, mixing carefully. Add the cream alternately in several portions.
4. Line the baking tin with baking paper. Pour ½ of the dough, sprinkle with pieces of dark chocolate, nuts mixed with butter and pieces of halva. Cover the whole thing with the second part of the dough and sprinkle with nuts and sugar. Bake at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
